All firefighting personnel are certified as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). As EMTs, we attend training classes and do practical exercises on a regular basis. We are also certified healthcare providers by American Heart Association in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Many of the emergencies we respond to involve breathing problems, chest pain, diabetic emergencies, medication overdoses, traumas, seizures or people injured in motor vehicle accidents. We strive to provide the utmost comfort for our patients, while adhering to strict medical control protocols.
