Decades of development in the City of West Jordan has placed an ever-increasing burden on the existing storm water collection and conveyance facilities. Multiple storm drainage and flood control studies have been completed for areas within the City in recent years, but a comprehensive master drainage plan had not been completed since 1985. The City retained Bowen, Collins and Associates in 2002 to complete a comprehensive Master Drainage Study for the City with the following objectives: - Identify the capacities of existing systems
- Recommend improvements to address existing and projected future drainage deficiencies
- Develop a plan for implementing the recommended improvements
In 2007, Bowen, Collins and Associates was retained to update the Storm Water Master Plan. The 2007 Master Drainage Plan Update is a guidance document and is subject to update or re-evaluation based on new information. Please contact the Utility Planning Division for specific design information.
