Preference for Resident Suppliers or Contractors Ordinance 16-08 Approved 1/27/2016
The city shall grant a 5% preference to resident suppliers or contractors for purchases under $20,000.00. If the resident supplier is within 5% of the lowest quoted non-resident supplier, the resident supplier will have the opportunity to match the lower quoted amount in writing within 72 hours, provided they possess a current city business license and are otherwise qualified and meet all applicable specifications. (2001 Code § 2-7-310; amd. Ord. 16-08, 01-27-2016)

ADVERTISEMENT OF BID
The City of West Jordan Utah is seeking bids for a contractor to furnish all equipment, labor, materials, and appurtenances for the 7800 South 4000 West Storm Drain Rehabilitation Project, SD 16-03.

The engineer’s estimate for this project is $1,585,095.00.

Sealed bids will be received by the City of West Jordan, City Clerk/Recorder’s Office, 8000 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84088 until Tuesday, August 30, 2016 2:00 P.M., at which time they shall be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids shall be deemed received when they are in the physical possession of the City Clerk/Recorder or designee.

Bids, modifications, or corrections will not be accepted if they are not timely received by the City Clerk/Recorder’s Office, regardless of the cause, whether or not by action or inaction of the City, including but not limited to delayed, lost, undelivered or misdirected mail. Facsimile transmitted bids will not be accepted.

The City of West Jordan, Utah is seeking proposals from artists/ sculptors to produce a bronze sculpture that will be placed at the west entrance of West Jordan City hall
